Server Rules

By playing on Realm Town, you agree to follow these rules. Breaking them can result in mutes, bans, or other punishments at staff discretion. Network rules apply everywhere, and game-mode specific rules apply on top of those.

01No Cheating

Use of cheat clients, hacked clients, or any mod that gives you an unfair advantage is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to: • Hacked clients (Wurst, Impact, Future, Meteor, etc.) • X-ray texture packs or mods • Auto-clickers or macros of any kind, including butterfly clicking macros or mouse software macros • Kill aura, fly hacks, speed hacks, reach hacks, etc. • Printer mods, schematic placement mods that auto-build • Any mod that automates gameplay actions for you If you're not sure whether a mod is allowed, ask a staff member before using it. Generally approved mods include OptiFine, shader packs, minimap mods (without entity/player radar), and similar cosmetic or QoL mods that don't give you a competitive edge.

02No Exploiting

Don't exploit bugs, glitches, or unintended game mechanics. This covers everything, including but not limited to: • Duplication glitches of any kind (item dupes, XP dupes, money dupes, etc.) • Bypassing intended game mechanics or plugin restrictions • Abusing plugin bugs for personal gain • Using any method to obtain items, currency, or advantages you're not supposed to have If you find a bug or exploit, report it to staff immediately. You won't get in trouble for discovering one, but you will get in trouble for abusing it. Players who report exploits may even be rewarded.

03No Harassment or Toxicity

Treat everyone with basic respect. Targeted harassment, bullying, threats, sustained toxicity, or any kind of malicious behavior toward other players is not tolerated. If someone asks you to stop, stop. If you're consistently making the experience worse for others, staff will step in. What counts as "too far" is up to staff discretion, so just use common sense.

04No Discrimination

This should go without saying. Slurs, hate speech, and discriminatory language or behavior based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, disability, or anything else personal will result in an immediate ban. There is zero tolerance for this. Just don't do it.

05No NSFW Content

Keep it clean. Sexually explicit content, excessive gore, or anything you wouldn't want shown on a school projector is banned everywhere: in-game chat, builds, signs, item names, skins, forums, Discord, you name it. This is an all-ages server.

06No Political, Religious, or Controversial Topics

This is literally a minecraft server. Keep debates about politics, religion, and other hot-button societal topics off the server, Discord, and forums. There are plenty of places on the internet for that kind of discussion, and this isn't one of them. We're here to build stuff, explore, and have fun.

07No Doxxing or Sharing Personal Information

Sharing someone else's personal information (real name, address, photos, social media accounts, IP addresses, etc.) is an instant permanent ban. No exceptions. We also strongly discourage sharing your own personal information. Realm Town believes in the right to digital anonymity, and we take it seriously.

08No Advertising

Don't advertise other servers, products, services, Discord servers, YouTube channels (for other servers), or any content not officially associated with Realm Town. This includes posting invite links, server IPs, or promotional content in chat, forums, signs, or anywhere else on our platforms.

09No Spam

Don't flood chat with repetitive messages, excessive characters, or rapid-fire commands. Our chat filters catch most spam automatically, but trying to bypass them is also a violation. This rule applies to in-game chat, signs, mail, forum posts, and Discord alike.

10No Malicious Links or Files

Don't share phishing links, IP grabbers, screamer sites, malware downloads, or anything harmful or misleading. Posting a sketchy link is a fast track to a permanent ban. If you're sharing a legitimate link, make sure it's clear and trustworthy.

11No Excessive Redstone or Entity Lag

Keep your redstone contraptions, mob farms, and entity counts reasonable. If your build is causing noticeable server lag or TPS drops, staff can and will remove it without warning. This applies across all game modes, Survival, Skyblock, everything. Before building something massive with tons of redstone or entities, ask a staff member if it's okay. A good rule of thumb: if you think it might lag, it probably will.

12Communicate in English

Primary chat should be in English so staff can moderate effectively and everyone can participate in conversations. We genuinely appreciate the diversity of our community and love that players come from all over the world speaking different languages. We'd love to support other languages in the future, but right now we simply can't reliably moderate them. So for the time being, please keep the main conversation in English. This is subject to change down the road as we grow.

13No Alt Account Abuse

Alt accounts are fine for casual play, but using them to bypass bans, evade mutes, manipulate voting or economy systems, or gain unfair advantages is strictly prohibited. If you get banned, logging into an alt to keep playing will just get that account banned too and make your situation worse.

14Respect Staff Decisions

Staff members have the final say on moderation decisions. If you think a call was wrong, use the proper appeal process on the website. Don't argue about it in public chat or DM staff to complain, it just makes things worse and can lead to additional punishment. Staff are volunteers doing their best.

Rules may be updated at any time. It's your responsibility to stay informed. If you're unsure about something, ask a staff member in-game, on the forums, or in our Discord.
